Every night, Mary cleans the commercial offices from 11 PM to 7 AM, a monotonous routine that funds her crucial academic endeavor. Her goal is daunting: passing the Advanced Vocational Training entrance exam to become a nurse. Currently, she is pursuing this educational objective while simultaneously managing her demanding work schedule and caring for her three children. This relentless pursuit has been ongoing; she has always managed her finances since her husband left, instilling a sense of disciplined resourcefulness. For nine months, Mary has been studying relentlessly for the pivotal exam, sacrificing every leisure moment.

The stress is immense. Yesterday, she felt utterly drained after a double shift, a common occurrence. Her first vital problem is sleep: while she was trying to concentrate at 3 AM, her son called her from home with an urgent math question, interrupting her already scarce study time. She was desperate because she had been dealing with a severe lack of sleep for weeks, severely impacting her focus. Her second problem involves her supervisor: the supervisor had already left the building before Mary noticed the error in her schedule, meaning an extra hour of work unpaid.

Mary is realistic about her life, but not hopeless. She would feel less overwhelmed if her current cleaning job were less physically demanding, but she understands the necessity. Soon, "I will secure a better future for my children," she promises herself, clinging to that motivation. If she had not persevered during those challenging nights, she would have quit the course long ago. The landlord would have been demanding the rent every week if Mary had not been so disciplined with her payments.

After nine arduous months, the dedication bore fruit. By the time her exam day arrived, she will have reviewed every single unit, proving her commitment. This time next year, she will be earning a decent salary as a qualified nursing assistant. When she finally starts her training, she will have been balancing work, family, and studies for almost a year. Mary, with her unwavering tenacity, succeeded.
