A Change of Direction: Finding Strength to Study Again

AL

Alejandro

Higher Vocational Training Aspirant

My name is Alejandro and this is my short story. About 10 years ago, I left the education system to focus only on a small family business.

At 17, you don't really have a clear vision or a plan for your future, so the easiest thing was to start working without asking myself what I really wanted to do. After 10 years of work and 9-hour workdays—including Sundays and holidays—my mind, understandably, was asking for a change and a better life.

Between all this, I discovered something that helped me take this step and apply for the Higher Vocational Training entrance exams: fitness and the world of strength training in particular.

"When I enrolled, I had many doubts about my path and if I would be able, after 10 years inactive, to pass that desired exam."

The process has been hard, especially because I didn't stop working full-time and because of the effort of going to class after exhausting workdays. The best thing about choosing the face-to-face mode at IPEP is the great treatment from all the teachers. They have been attentive and patient with all the classmates, knowing how long most of us had been without studying.

If by telling this, at least one person is encouraged and starts studying again, it will have opened a window to an improvement in their future or the possibility of reaching their professional goal.

"Vocation is more important than a job position or stability."

Special thanks to Mr. Manuel Molina Porlán for making us believe in ourselves and in quality education.
