Manual Neurodidáctico:
Cómo hackear tu cerebro en el Examen

🌬️ 1. Oxigena (Regla 4-7-8)

Reading: From Barter to Digital Wallets

UK 0.8x
In the past, the concept of money as we know it today did not exist. People used to trade items they had for things they needed, a system known as bartering. For example, a farmer might exchange grain for a cow. However, this was often difficult because you had to find someone who wanted exactly what you offered. Later, societies began using precious metals and eventually coins and banknotes to simplify transactions. These physical forms of currency were safer to carry and had a fixed value. Today, the world of business has changed again. Many people rarely use physical cash; instead, they manage their finances through digital wallets. These modern tools allow us to make a deposit or pay for goods instantly, showing how much the way we handle wealth has evolved over centuries.

1. What was the main disadvantage of the exchange system used by ancient farmers?

2. How do many people pay for things today according to the text?

Reading: Roland Garros: The French Open

UK 0.8x
Roland Garros is a famous tennis tournament that takes place every year in Paris. Unlike Wimbledon, which is played on grass, Roland Garros is famous for its clay courts. This surface is slower, so the matches are often very long and physically demanding for the athletes. The tournament has a long history. It started in 1891, but it was not an international event then. In 1928, the organisers built a new stadium to honour a French pilot from World War I called Roland Garros. Since then, the competition has become a prestigious Grand Slam. In recent years, they have improved the stadium and they have already installed a retractable roof. However, the tradition and the essence of the game remain the same.
