Esta estructura se usa cuando TÚ NO haces el trabajo. Tú organizas, pagas o convences a otra persona (un profesional) para que lo haga por ti.
En español decimos "Me corté el pelo" (aunque lo hiciera el peluquero), pero en inglés, si dices "I cut my hair", ¡significa que lo hiciste tú mismo con las tijeras! ✂️
Para decir que fuiste a la peluquería, usas el causativo: "I had my hair cut."
