Strategic Briefing
In the current vibrant landscape of Defense and Security, technical proficiency is merely the baseline. Major corporations like Airbus, Navantia, or Indra are not just searching for employees who can execute tasks; they are scouting for talent with a specific mindset. The strategic integration of Dual Vocational Training (FP Dual) has become a pivotal channel for recruitment, but it comes with a prerequisite: the ability to operate in a globalized environment.
This is where English becomes your most valuable asset. It is no longer an optional skill found at the bottom of a CV; it is a mandatory requirement for career progression. When Human Resources departments assess candidates, they look for individuals who can leverage language skills to collaborate on international projects. A technician who understands a blueprint is useful; a technician who can negotiate a technical solution with a German or American partner is indispensable.
However, hard skills alone are insufficient. The industry is shifting its focus towards "People-Centric" strategies. They seek candidates who demonstrate genuine commitment and passion. Employers value resilience, adaptability, and the capacity to thrive under pressure. During the interview process, you must be able to articulate not just *what* you can do, but *how* your contribution will enhance the team's efficiency.
Therefore, your time in FP Dual should be viewed as a long-term investment. By mastering this specific vocabulary and improving your fluency, you are effectively positioning yourself ahead of the competition. You are transforming from a standard student into a high-potential candidate ready to tackle the challenges of a demanding and rewarding sector. The job market is tough, but for those who possess the right combination of technical expertise and linguistic competence, the opportunities are limitless.

"The Global Technician"
1 Minute 30 Seconds • Defense Sector
Hello everyone. Welcome to this special briefing about your professional future. Today, we are looking at the Defense and Industry sector in Spain. This sector is growing very fast, and it offers great opportunities for students of Vocational Training, or 'FP'. Big companies like Navantia, Airbus, or Indra are constantly hiring. They need people with strong technical skills, like mechanics, electronics, or administration. However, technical skills are just the starting point. Imagine you are working on a new project. Your team is international. You have colleagues in Germany, suppliers in the United States, and managers in the UK. How do you communicate? The answer is English. In this global environment, English is the tool that allows everything to work. If you cannot speak English, you cannot participate fully in the team. Recruiters tell us that they prefer a candidate with good English and normal technical grades, over a candidate with perfect grades but zero English. Why? Because technical things can be learned on the job, but communication takes time. So, my advice is simple: do not ignore your English classes. They are your passport to a successful career in the modern industry.
