Specifically, vacancies for FP graduates have doubled those for university graduates, signaling a pragmatic shift in recruitment strategies across the nation.
This surge in demand is not uniform but concentrated in specific, high-growth areas. Sectors such as Administration, Technology (IT), and Healthcare are leading this trend. Companies are increasingly prioritizing hands-on skills and technical competence over theoretical knowledge. The old prestige gap between university education and vocational training is narrowing as employers realize that FP curricula often align more closely with real-world business needs.
Furthermore, the report indicates that this is not a temporary fluctuation but a consolidated trend. The concept of "titulitis" (degree inflation) is fading. Recruiters are seeking candidates who can be operational from day one. Hello everyone. Today we are talking about a big change in jobs in Spain. For a long time, everybody thought that going to University was the only way to get a good job. But now, things are different. A newspaper called El Confidencial says that companies want more people with Vocational Training, or 'FP'. In fact, for every job offer for a university student, there are two offers for FP students. Why? Because companies need people who can do practical things from the first day. The most popular jobs are in administration, computers, and hospitals. Also, English is very important. If you have an FP degree and you speak English, it is very easy to find work. So, if you are thinking about your future, remember: you don't always need a university degree to be successful.
