Test de Tiempos Verbales y Marcadores Temporales: 'just, already, ever, never, so far, recently...

Vamos a hacer hoy un sencillo test sobre las siguientes palabras y expresiones que se suelen usar con muchos tiempos verbales:

'just, already, ever, never, so far, recently, lately, since, for, yet, still, ago, while, whereas, during, until, before, after, by the end of the month, in two years.

Oraciones condicionales: 'If I were'. Explicación de los ejercicios.

Hay bichos informáticos que no se van ni con lejía. Algunos me comentáis que tenéis problemas para descargar o ver algunas tareas, de modo que vamos a ponerle remedio.

Me gustaría que todos pudierais completar -cuando el tiempo os lo permita- las tareas de la unidad 3, 'If I were', porque incluyen todos los contenidos que hemos ido trabajando. Ya es cosa seria. 

En esta primera tarea vamos a repasar:

1. Oraciones condicionales del tipo 1 y del tipo 2.

Por ejemplo: Tipo 1: 'Si practicas más tests, aprobarás el examen en junio'.

                                  'If you do more tests, you will pass your exam in June'.

                      Tipo 2: 'Si practicara más tests, podría aprobar el examen en junio'.

                                  'If I did more tests, I could be able to pass my exam in June'.

2. Oraciones de relativo, con comas y sin comas.

Por ejemplo: 

Sin comas: 'Este es el ejercicio que me resulta más fácil de hacer'.

                  'This is the activity (that /which) I find easier to do'.

 Con comas: 'El precio de la luz, que no para de subir, hará imposible usar la calefacción para muchas familias.'

 'The electricity bill, which does not stop soaring, will make it impossible for many families to have heating'.

3. Pasado simple y pasado continuo.

Por ejemplo:  'Cuando llegamos a la casa del pueblo, unos ocupas estaban allí tan felices disfrutando de la chimenea.'

'When we entered the house in the village, some squatters were there happily enjoying our chimney'.

4. Presente perfecto.

Por ejemplo: 'Vivo en Jaén desde hace 35 años'

                      'I have been living in Jaén for 35 years'. 

                      'I have lived in Jaén for 35 years'.

5. Adverbios 'already, ever y yet'.

Por ejemplo:  

'Ya ha subido tanto el precio de la luz más que nunca antes en la Historia'.

'The electricity bill has already peaked its highest price in History, more than ever before'.

¿Has visto ya el recibo de la luz? Todavía estoy asustado.

'Have you seen the electricity bill yet? I am still frightened.

Vamos primero con un sencillo test sobre el presente perfecto y los verbos irregulares. 

Veamos:

Palabras que se suelen usar con el 'presente perfecto': still -yet- already- just- ever -never- recently -lately- so far

¿Estas palabras still -yet- already- just- ever -never- se suelen usar con el present perfect?

Ya ha empezado a llover en Jaén.

It has already started to rain in Jaén.

Sí, todas esas palabras son las que nos ayudan a 'usar' ese tiempo verbal.

Ejemplos:

1) Ya hemos terminado el trabajo.

We have already finished our job. ‘Already’ indica que una acción ya se ha realizado.

2) Todavía no hemos comido andrajos este año.

We still have not eaten andrajos this year.  O también: We haven't eaten andrajos this year yet. 

En estos dos casos de arriba, tanto 'yet' como 'still' expresan la misma idea.

‘Still’ se usa para dos cosas diferentes:

a) Para indicar que una acción todavía SUCEDE: 

I am still working: Todavía estoy trabajando.

b) Para indicar que una acción NO HA EMPEZADO AÚN. En este caso, ‘still’ siempre tiene que ir delate de la parte que hemos negado:

 

I still have not found what I am looking for.

Todavía/Aún no he encontrado lo que busco.

 

3) He sido profesor durante 30 años.

I have been a teacher FOR 30 years: ‘FOR’ indica cuánto tiempo llevas haciendo algo.

4) Llevo en la docencia desde 1992.

I have been teaching SINCE 1992.  Since: indica cuándo empezaste a hacer algo.

 

5) ¿Alguna vez has visto un burro volar? No, todavía no.

Have you ever seen a flying donkey? No, I have not seen it yet.

 

6) Acabo de terminar mis deberes.

I have just finished my homework. ‘Just’ indica que una acción es muy reciente.

7) Nunca he visitado Turquía.

 I have NEVER visited Turkey. 'Never' indica que no has hecho nada, claro está.

8) Mis alumnas han estado estudiando muchísimo últimamente.

My students have been studying so much recently /lately /so far: las 3 palabras significan lo mismo.

Os resumo los contenidos de la clase del 19 de octubre:

Con una ficha de ejercicios, estuvimos trabajando el llamado 'presente perfecto', que sin duda, es el tiempo verbal que más se usa en una conversación cotidiana.

Os dejo en este enlace de abajo la fotocopia.

Nos sirvió para explicar cómo se forma dicho tiempo verbal, la importancia de saberse 'by heart' los verbos irregulares con sus tres formas, y repasar el uso de:

1) For

2) Since

3) How long...?

4) When...?

5). Las oraciones de finalidad:

1) In order to... / in order not to

2) so as to... / so as not to

3) to... /not to

4) in order that... 

5) so that...

6) Adverbios como 'recently', 'lately', 'these days', etc, asociados al uso de este tiempo verbal.

7) Uso de 'yet', 'already' y 'still'.
