Examen de PGAS o Selectividad: reading comprehension and essential vocabulary.

Rules at school

A school in Cornwall, England hit the headlines when students complained about the strict rules. Surprisingly, they were backed up by parents and even by some teachers. Not only is it compulsory to wear a school uniform, but making even very small changes to it can lead to punishment, as can breaking any of the other rules. Students who have left the school look back on their time there with horror. A school spokesperson said it's true that the school expects punctuality, organisation and consideration towards others, but added that these are a necessary part of educating children. Many parents, though, complain that even a half-hearted greeting to a member of staff calls for a punishment. "Surely the headteacher can be less stubborn and give students a second chance," said one parent. It was only a matter of timebefore the students did something about it and when they protested, the police were called.
