How much do you remember about 'reported speech' in English? ¿Cuánto recuerdas sobre ello?

Buenas tardes, estimados alumnos.

Cuando contamos a alguien lo que otras personas nos han contado a nosotros, es raro que seamos fieles al ciento por ciento con respecto a lo que verdaderamente nos dijeron, pues es normal que le demos nuestro pequeño toque personal, tanto en la forma como en el contenido. Es decir, que siempre hacemos algún pequeño cambio.

A eso se le llama en términos lingüísticos hablar usando el 'estilo indirecto', lo que en inglés se denomina 'reported speech'.

-'Oye, María, ¿cuándo has pilotado un avión A-400M?'

-'Pues ayer por la tarde, que volé a Hong Kong'.

Luis preguntó a María cuándo había pilotado un avión A-400M y ella le contestó que la tarde anterior, que había volado a Hong Kong.

-'Hi, Mary, when have you flown an A-400M jet?'

-'Only last night, when I flew to Hong Kong'.

Luis asked Mary when she had flown an A-400M jet and she replied that she had flown it the night before when I had flown to Hong Kong.

Como podéis comprobar, hemos cambiado los verbos. Pero también hemos cambiado los adverbios y algún pronombre.
