⭐ Task 0: Rebuilding the Social Fabric

"Following the devastating DANA in Valencia, recent reports by Las Claves have highlighted the 'Sumando Energías' plan, an initiative by Fundación Naturgy designed to rebuild the social fabric through professional certification."

Vocational Training as the Real Engine

It is often claimed that traditional degrees are the only path to success; however, vocational training (FP) is proving to be the real engine of the green transition. In Andalusia, the regional government is heavily investing in "Dual FP" programs. For instance, IES Politécnico in Seville and IES Virgen de las Nieves in Granada offer specialized cycles in maintenance.

The job market is currently desperate for these profiles. Leading companies like Naturgy, Endesa, and Iberdrola are constantly seeking technicians capable of managing hydrogen integration and solar maintenance. Furthermore, associations emphasize that these roles are "enabling from day one," meaning students can enter the workforce immediately upon certification.

"You'd rather specialize now than wait for an uncertain future," experts suggest. If you had chosen this path a year ago, you might have already been working in a sector that is virtually recession-proof. It is high time we realized that it is technical expertise whose value will grow most. Not only is the pay competitive, but the purpose—saving the planet—is deeply rewarding.

🧠 Metacognition Check

Analyze your strategy. Reflection is the key to deep learning.

I identified the link between the DANA disaster and professional training.
I checked the pink brain icons to understand 'whose' and 'what matters'.
I applied scanning to find technical licenses like 'Type B'.
I understand why 'green-collar' workers are essential for the future.

I. Conditionals (Mixed Types)

Neurotip: Visualiza la situación. El cerebro necesita orden cronológico para decidir entre hechos hipotéticos o arrepentimientos pasados.

1. If the government (invest) more in renewable energy last year, the emissions (not increase) so dramatically. (Type 3)

2. If teenagers (spend) less time on social media nowadays, they (be) more focused. (Type 2)

3. If I (know) you were coming, I (bake) a cake. (Type 3)

4. If she (not be) so busy, she (join) us for dinner tonight. (Type 2)

II. Relative Clauses (Non-defining)

Neurotip: Las comas son pausas para que el cerebro procese información extra. Sin ellas, la frase cambia de significado.
