The Logic of
Verb Tenses

Time is linear, but Aspects are how we look at it. Is it a photo? A video? Or a bridge? El tiempo es lineal, pero los "Aspectos" son cómo lo miramos. ¿Es una foto? ¿Un vídeo? ¿O un puente?

Past Present Future

Present

"I study everyday."

Estudio todos los días.

The 4 Aspects (Lenses)

Don't think about "Time". Think about "Shape". No pienses en el "Tiempo". Piensa en la "Forma" de la acción.

SIMPLE

The Snapshot

Facts, Habits, Finished things. It's just a dot on the timeline.

S + Verb

Como pizza (Hábito).
CONTINUOUS

The Video

BE + ING

PERFECT

The Bridge

HAVE + V3

PERF. CONT.

The Marathon
